python-whoosh software package provides pure-Python full-text indexing, search, and spell checking library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-whoosh
python-whoosh is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-whoosh package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-whoosh *
You will get with python-whoosh package name, version, architecture and description in a table
